Hi,

Today I purcased a PS2 Eyetoy and a TrackHat (3 IR leds on a bbal cap).  It wont arrive through the post for a few days, so is there something I need to do or read-up on for when I set it up the first time?

I plan to use it mostly with FSX, Falcon4 BMS, Arma3, and Elite Dangerous in the future.

Thanks!

Damn, thought I had researched it properly!  Obviously not.

Can you recommend a decent camera that wont need much fettling?

Give it a try first. Sometimes a good daylight filter can do it.

I do not have special recommendations for a webcam.
The cheapest can do the trick. You just need a low resolution with 30FPS, weak or removable ir-filter and deactivatable autofunctions.
Check this:

...look for a recent model as Win8 do not support some older cams any more.
Some recommend the PS3Eye cause of there 60FPS but there are still problems with the driver in some case. If you can get it for a decent price try it.
