hello guys, do you know how to difuse or refract the beam of a IR led??, the thing is that the top of the led is only visible by IR camera, when you move the led side by side and for an instance it is not pinting directly to the camera it get lost.

I have a pointer here its a IR led pointer that has a plastic around the led and it is like a refraction material or difusor, that makes all of the plastic cap visible at the camera...

Any solutions for this??

thank you

You either use IR LED's with a wider angle (Part numbers of recommended IR LED's are to be found in the on-line manual) or file  a 'flat' top on the ones you have but don't polish or clean the filed section as this helps to diffuse the LED to some extent.

This thread should explain.....
