hey,, can anyone help me plz? i have il2 1946 , and when i set my freetrack and its responsive to all 6 degrees (in display box) ,, yet in game IL2 1946 its only using yaw and pitch,, i set universal (global) controll ,, also i notice it wont let me import game profiles,, yet when i set the global ,, it works in that minus in game,, thnx for help in advance folks!!  |

Native IL2 1946 only supports 2DOF.
To get 6DOF in IL2 1946, you'll have to install a mod/hack to get it working.
You can find this mod at : http://www.allaircraftarcade.com
Since this is a mod, you won't be able to join official servers anymore, unless you install a mod switcher allowing you to switch back and forth from standard (2DOF) to mod (6DOF) version.
This mod switcher is also available at allaircraftarcade.

not all servers allow you to play with mods. However yes, I agree, I'm not going to play without 6 DOF  |

I only get 3DOF for some reason, roll/yaw/pitch i.e. I am missing the x/y/z translations :/ Any ideas?

Are you sure you have installed the Mod correctly.
First you need to activate your Game for Mods. Have you done this?
And make sure you have activated all axis in the Freetracksoftware.
If the Mod is running in your game, you should be abele to open the Support console for 6DOF by pressing the * button in the numeric Block on the left of your keyboard.
If a red console appears the Mod is running!

The most official Arcade Server support Mods.
Check the server discribtion if CRT=2 is running you are not abele to join the Server with Mods on.
But there is a bigger Problem if you try to play a coop Mission. Most of the hosts run CRT=2.

hi, i cant use the xyz as well, its working corrctly in free track, but the game doesnt notice. 6dof mod is running, i see it if i press * ingame ...

ingame if you want to change the 6dof mod options you have to use the numpad key "*" to access these 6dof mod options, since i can see the menu, i assume the mod is running
it doesnt matter wheter the options are on or off, no effect, just the ordinary 2dof
my versions are
4.08m Sturmovik (1946)
6DOF Mod v2.0
latest qtim and mod activator

Hello Gonzo.
Ok sorry misunderstood you....
Did you already tried in the 2nd cockpit view (switch with Shift-F1) ?
6dof only works in one of the cockpit view, you remain in 2dof in the other.
EDIT :
Oooops forgot to ask , since some people use this.... What output do you use in Freetrack ???
6DOF will work only if you use trackir output (not mouselook or ppjoy)
