Is the OHM value all that matters? The LED assembly wizard looks something like this:

My local store has these resistors in stock that seem close to what I need: Posted Image

Will that work just fine? If not, what other values are important?

resistor value is important but also the dissipated power value.The resistor is needed to limit the current running through your model.
Just take a look at this thread for a paralel setup or serial setup.
