I hacked the second of two of these (one for my roommate, one for me) tonight.  I used two layers of exposed/developed film for the one I did the other night.  I used one layer of 3.5 floppy magnetic tape (or whatever the innards are called) on this second one.

I'm noticing a rather sizable lens flare when pointing an IR remote at the camera this time (that didn't happen in my first hack).  The room is dark.  Any suggestions as to what might be causing this, and if I should be worried about its impact on the finished project?

Hi,

I think there is no problem for that. You are tracking light dots on low resolution, as long as you get three single points like this it's ok:

I have arrange your image link. Just put the "BBCode (message boards & forums)" from Imgur in next time.  ;)
