I have installed free track and I have tried to set it up. I went for the 3 dot settings but when I start the camera . it only shows that 2 dots are detected. and I cannot get it to work.
sorry if this is hard to follow but this is the first time I have tried this.
only got the head set today.

please give us some more information about what you have done yet.
Cam, cam settings, filter-solution, LEDs, mount, etc.

Hi, I am using the Microsoft LifeCam 5000. the only settings it as is brightness, contrast, hue, sharpness, gamma and white balance. I have not really tried to alter any settings on the free track program yet.
I have bought the DelanClip Free-Track - head motion tracking, 3 point model 3x IrLED (InfraRed) with high total viewing angle: 80° and 880nm wavelength

Ok,
first check if all three LEDs really works. You will be able to see a light red glow in dark environment, or light dots when take a photo with a mobile.
Disable all auto function on the cam. You can decrease contrast, sharpness, hue and gamma settings and increase lightly brightness.
Your dots on the Freetrack cam screen should look approximately
like this:
You can change the dot size with the threshold slider.
If you are not able to get three dots because of other environment light source you need to modify your webcam, (removing ir-block-filter and using daylight-block-filter). |

Hi, I have turned everything down on the camera except for brightness and contrast they are set to maximum, now I am getting three red dots on the screen but nothing else is happening.
I have tried to send you a photo of it but don't know how to put it on here.

Yes I have set it to 3 dot and the settings from top 30 60 80 80.
but when I run the camera to see the dots, in the bottom right it only shows 2 dots discovered.

That means, that the dots are not bright enough to be tracked.
If it's not possible to get better dot's by increasing cam brightness and threshold in Freetrack you need to modify your webcam.

I have never liked this webcam, so I have ordered a Official Playstation 3 Eye Camera - PS3 (for move)/ and I will try again.
I will let you know how I get on.

Yes you can play Eurotruck with freetrack.You need to turn of uac an install with admin rights and xp compatible mode if you are using win7.
uac=user account control.

thanks for that, I have just installed the ps3 camera. but when I try to run the free track program using the ps3 camera the program does not respond and closes. any idea's please.

to give you a honest answer, if it works, it works great, but a lot of people have difficulties with it, including myself 
I tried it once, but I stick with my good old vx3000  .
