Hi guys, after thinking of getting a TRackerIR and serching the internet i came across freetrack and this forum
... I have read a great deal on the forum over the last few days or so. I'm imprest with all the different style's and makeshift tracking systems you guy's have come up with.. Anyway thought i would bite the bullet and have a go. After all i have a old ps2 eye cam doing nothing a few old phone charges knocking about plus some usb cables and wires ect ect knocking about..
Only thing i have not got is the IRLED and RESISTOR but both from ebay about £6 (beats paying £130 for trackerir
)..
My question is i am going for the Sfh485p IRLED*3 here is the spec....IR EMITTER, 5MM, 880NM

My charger is a sony ericsson model GSAC-MN/3 spec...

I am going too mod the end, for male USB, charge too my tracker led using a female end..
so main question is....
I think i have used the calculater right, BUT can someone confirm for me, that i will be ok with a 8 or 10 Ohm RESISTOR, before i buy from ebay...
2nd question is
Will i need too file these irled's down as they are full angle of 160 and half angle of 80 degrees..
Cheers guys for the time and help
