Has anyone thought about using this cheap Hobby King 3-Axis Gyro with Free Track. I guest a interface would have to be written. But if the resolution of the Gryro is good enough it would eliminate having to use LCDs and the problems of interfering light sources and removing IR Filters from webcams.

Hi,
nice idea.
But I'm not sure about usability for tracking. The output are not absolute values. As far as I understand the output is a compensation signal.
Needs to be think over nevertheless, a quit nice piece of electronics.
