Due to financially reasons, reluctantly, Freetrack software technical support and feature development has been suspended.

Thats really bad news
You guys should put a donation button on your site. I'd gladly donate a nicle or two and I bet I'm not the only one |

This is a real shame. This programme is a very good alternative to TiR.

This is really really sad news. I love this software and the effort put in to it and just got my led-clip done. It's working beautifully, but like every software, needs further development as time goes by.
Make it payware! |

Bad news, it is a pity you leave the team, thanks for everything Kestrel,
"buena suerte" --> Good luck. . . ... and i agree, keep Free. Extract from: http://www.mastermagazine.info/articulo/10802.php (In Spanish) "Free software is an ideology that holds that the best results come from the synergy generated by the cooperative work. The result of our efforts (particularly for the software, in general for any other knowledge) should not be viewed as a treasure , but as an element with which to make everything. |

Firstly, I have never said that I have left the team, secondly, I have never, ever, wanted to make Freetrack payware, any prior comments of mine that you may be referring to have consisted only of suggestions and ideas, including advertising and donation, to allow for my software development and technical support to continue, anything else is pure speculation. |

Ok, I think there is a huge misunderstanding between us... And it is maybe about our differents languages ... I'm not yet speaking english fluently so some words tell me something you don't want to say... I received your last mail and I hope we will keep on the FT project together (I mean all the team, including you !!!). I continue in the private forum, see you there . Rémy

I think a donation link would be a good idea. I frequently use quite a few programs and services that are free but accept donations since even though the people working on these projects are giving away their time, there are often expenses associated with them that have to be paid for out of pocket by the creator/developer. The donations can help defray the normal costs to keep a popular project going.
I personally would rather give FreeTrack developers a few dollars over spending $160 for TrackIR. |
