here's some tutorials on how to convert your Webcam to an IR Webcam(by removing the IR filter)
http://www.hoagieshouse.com/IR/

check the bottom section of the webpage for your type of webcam, if you're lucky they might have the tutorial to convert yours!

*note i haven't tried to mod mine i use regular red LEDs.

good luck!

Hello redscouse

although 24 FPS is a bit slower than the recommanded 30FPS, it should run smoothly.

I personnally have an IR modded VX1000 working at 20FPS and it runs smoothly on IL2, which i use for tests.

cheers.

I have freetrack running at 20fps on my cam (not vx) and it works at least as good as my TiR2.

Yes, it works fine in Armed Assault. I'm just curious to know if it would be any better if I was getting 30 FPS from the webcam.

Indicating it could be usb related, try removing all other usb devices, check usb bandwidth in Device Manager, make sure you've got usb set up properly in your BIOS and in Windows and try using a usb that isn't sharing its IRQ with another hardware device (use the menu option 'View Resources by Connection' in Device Manager).
