hi
Newview user(from version 35a), knows that in IL2 it's possible to activate a useful feature: tha Analog Zoom. IL2 has 2 keys for progressive zoom in and out, and mapping these 2 keys in Newview, we can control a smooth progressive zoom, with an analogic control of the joystick (e.g. the slider of the X52 throttle) I've used this feature for a long time, but now with freetrack this is impossible. Speaking with someone about this question, I've tried Trackmapper, but I don't know if this program could help to produce an analog smoothed zoom. Thinking about what Hruks has done with newview...seems that IL2 is potenzially 3DOF and not 2DOF.

v2.1 has mousewheel output with speed control, would that be suitable for progressive zoom control?

that's not a bad idea though !
Keymapper is only a screen projection of your head tracking, so it won't work as what you want is to get closer to your screen and make IL2 zoom at that moment. but it must be possible to do something with ppjoy if you can't wait the 2.1 |
