Hello everybody,
I'm doing tests with the use of the Wiimote with freetrack. The system I use is the leds trackclip pro (I decided not to further complicate the system LEDs). The biggest problem is the capture of LEDs, which is very poor and intermittent. I used the bar of intensity, but of no use, since the margin for movement and capture of LEDs is very small (goes to the extreme left of the control bar). Could you give me some solution to make an abstraction of leds better? Thanks!!!! |

No solution.
The captation its very poor, the leds captation its with low intensity. I don't know if the problem its the bluethoot system (in my case I was take the logitech mx5000 bluethoot system to connect wiimote with my PC, but without keyboard and mouse), or its the track-clip por due to incompatibility of the leds that i have......I don't know....pls...help Could someone post a screenshot of the capture led to the Wiimote? Thx in advance!!

Anyone here use the Wiimote with freetrak?
Anyone can post the acquisition of freetrack leds to see the intensity of the same with the Wiimote? (if use track-clip pro...of course) Thx in advance!! |

It's simply not the bluetooth or trackclip pro's led intensity, it's the LED's wavelength that wiimote's IR filter is blocking out. I did several thing trying to work around the wavelength thing, but with wiimote front ir filter removed and even put film or disk filter in front, none works.
Therefore I decided to build my own 3 point model cap, and with the LED of wavelength @ 940nm, and without the intensity adjustment, the whole thing works perfectly. |

THX, But...I was try the first time with Windows XP64, and the captation was perfectly, big points with big thresold but big ponits in the captation, until bluesoleil show "!!pay...pay..pay to run again!!". I think that I was use Bluesoleil 2.??, but I'm not sure. One solution might be to change the Wiimote's IR filter for a more "soft" IR filter? (for example, a piece of photographic film) I'm trying to use wiimote intead of Philips SPC900NC, only for the 100 hard fps of Wiimote. Thx again!! |

Stick to the wiimote, it's worth it even if you build your own 3 point cap.

Yes, I know, already as I have given my webcam 90fps, and testing the Wiimote, that works with poor captation, but it works, seems even more fluid with my webcam. But I think my solution is simply to remove the filter that incorporates the Wiimote for a different and more permissive for the track-clip pro leds. Yet a little strange that when I tried it first with a version XP64, uptake was very good, without cuts, and now with XP32 is captured is bad ... very strange..... |

I did try to remove the wiimote filter totally, but still won't work. You could try yourself.

What type of IR filter you put at front or your wiimote cam? You tried to put some other type of filter in front (like a piece of photo film, for example)? Pls., I need this information, today I will go to purchase one new wiimote to try this....and a new bluethoot device to try |

No solution removing IR filter from wiimote....mmm.... Ok., Todat I will try again Wiimote+Track-clip pro+XP 64 bits version with original IR filter of wiimote. I was try friday, but bluesoleil detect Wiimote but no connection possible (Bluesoleil detect correctly wiimote, but its impossible to make connection). I will try with an old bluesoleil version and I will post about this. Thx!! |

When I try a second time with the Wiimote's IR filter, always have capture, but was bad.
But when pressed STAR for the first time (well, always), not captured Freetrack did not change anything until touch a little bar thresold. It is strange that with a filter softer than the Wiimote does not get to capture anything, I think it might be motivated by what they said. |

After cross reference with tv remote, I figured that it's not the power of LED that can or cannot penatrate the filter, but wavelength of LED that can be penatrate the filter. Even with a small power and right wavelength, the "dot" can be seen clearly by wiimote.
