As you can see here:
These points are huge. I tried the guides on Hardware FAQ (to increase threshold at maximum, an adjust Camera Exposure at minimum) but is useless. I'm using a Logitech Messenger webcam (I've take away the IR filter). The model is a 3led cap, built helped by Led Wizard assembly: I'm using 3 Osram 487P IR Leds, adjusted with 3 15Ohms resistors, with a 3V electrical power source (2xAA 1.5 Batteries) Any idea how to solve this issue? As you can see in this video, it makes weird movements (probably due to those huge melons) http://www.syquus.com/postimages/ledscap/issue.big.points.avi Any advice would be really appreciated. |

Have you tried to change the sharpness on the cam itself?
Try to turn the lens plastic cover on the cam and see if it makes any diference. Also at the camera/advanced in FT. What shutter do you use? Try to go as hi as 1/33(s) or higher.
Cheers!

see my answer in:
http://forum.free-track.net/index.php?showtopic=1552#10252 but as I see in your screenshot you adjusted that lever already to the right. Try the third tab (point size / max point diameter) in your own language "Tamaño de Punto" or try 30 Ohm resistors.

I have lots of 15ohms. If i use in in serial configuration (6, instead of 3) will it work?? Dummy at electricity here |

yes, if you place them in serie you can add the values o---[===]----[===]--- o 15 ohm + 15 ohm = 30 ohm |

Thanks again benmeijer.
I've used 5 15-Ohms resistors per led (totallying 75-Ohms per led) Now it seems to work better. (but still a bit big) Next time if I need light to walk in to a dark forest, I'll buy these leds again! what a beasts!

Try to file down the Leds and use a small number of sand paper. Leave the matt surface in the end. This will allow less light from the led's to get directed to the camera.
2nd solution, Remove the 2nd battery so 1.5V will drive the leds. |
