Class : Apprenti Posts : 14 Registered on : 31/08/2008 Off line	Hey Guys I fly in Forgotten Skies which is an online server arena and we use IL2 1946 game. My question is our server dont allow Mods so we must fly in unmodded version, Can I use Free Track with the unmodded version of the game. Alot of the guys I fly with use Track IR4 Pro. Please give me any info on this. thanks

You'll only get 2DOF, since the unmodded version of IL2 only allows 2DOF. Use the modswitcher for an easy switch between versions : - 4.08 - 4.08 modded - 4.09 - 4.09 modded you can find it at http://www.allaircraftarcade.com cya

Class : Apprenti Posts : 18 Registered on : 01/09/2008 Off line	2DOF isnt bad at all. You dont get zooming which you can assign to a JS button. And you dont get to roll your head or move it straight sideways left or right which doesnt really get you a lot. Its nice having 6DOF; but 2DOF is very nice to have and beats mouse-POV looking by a mile. The 2DOF alone gives you the edge in dog fighting.

Class : Electronicien en chef Posts : 651 Registered on : 10/07/2007 Off line	You can use 3DOF in standard IL2 by playing a bit with the settings Your stock IL2 only allows 2DOF (yaw and pitch) but has a zoom in and a zoom out key, which aren't assigned by default. A trick to do is : - assign those keys in your IL2 settings - create a profile in Freetrack, using the trackir output for yaw and roll (Xrot and Yrot) and key outputs for Zoom (Ztrans) Works well, i did it a while ago for a squadmate, before we all switched to the 6DOF modded version of IL2 1946. cya
