I wonder if the dimensions provided for a 3 point cap in the post "Hardware FAQ" by Kestrel are compulsory. It seems that the figures are changeable? Can I build one with different dimensions as long as the shape is similar to that one and the points aren't parallel to the camera?

Maybe this is a silly question but please help, thanks.

Absolutely! The dimensions aren't set in stone, but of course, there are some limits, as long as you plug in the dimensions properly, it should work.
