ok guys... had the same problem as... probably anyone here ;) i googled "Freetrack2.2.0.279CLeyePatch" (including quotation marks) and found an archive on a russian facebook site... or something like that :)

i tried it out and now i can finally use freetrack... awesome program btw... unfortunately it seems to be discontinued or something? :snif:

anyways... i reuploaded the file for you... 'cause i don't want to see you suffer any longer :inn:

btw wanted to use ft for elite dangerous... works just fine, but only with the opentrack workaround, which you probably already found here: http://forum.free-track.net/index.php?showtopic=4258

cheers and have fun fellers. :D

Hello! I bought the ps3 cam and got the cl driver. So in the CL test program, the camera works very fine. But everytime I try to use it on Free Track, Free Track crashes immediately. I tried different solution, but nothing helps. I installed also the free track Fix, recommended in this topic, but it does'nt helps... How can I get the PS3 cam working with Free Track?

I'm using Windows 7 64bit.

Thank you sooo, so much for helping!

Best Regards,

Sascha

You must check if you have the same fps setting in both freetrack and in that cl-test program.. :D

Did you also change the dpi-scaling from normal to low?If you have it "normal" it also makes freetrack crash.

in the cl test program it's under options/video capture pin... i set it to 320x240 24 bits @125fps... set the same value in freetrack under 'stream' .... also you have to click on 'stream' to get ft to work before you start the camera.... or else ft will crash... well, at least for me it does ;)

Look here for how to change the dpi-scaling.

There will always be a discussion about the fps you need for good tracking, the max I used was 75fps and 640x480.If 125fps could be  better for you you must try and decide for your self.I have a 144hz monitor and I did not see any improvement.

Okay, cool. Now with the ft stream settings 320x240px, 24bits @ 60FPS, ft don't crashes. BUT, everytime I restart ft, it jumps to the setting "320x240px, 32bits @ 60FPS" so I have to change it to 24 bits.

The bigger problem is, that ft don't get a stream from the webcam. The camera image on ft keeps black...

@Stormrider: Thank you very much. I've checked this, my Windows is already set to "small".

http://forum.free-track.net/index.php?showtopic=3624&page=1#18540
He discribes exactly what and how to do it.If you follow what he says and the camera image is still black report back and we will try to figure out what could be wrong.

do you run freetrack in compability mode, admin and xp mode?
Try to reset the webcam settings to default.I get the same error when I put the exposure to high.
Did you know that freetrack is not the only ir-tracking software?
http://facetracknoir.sourceforge.net/home/default.htm
It is also for free and with the pointtracker plugin it works the same as freetrack.
