Hd5000 seems to work without any modification:

But you need at least a daylight filter.
(You remove the ir-filter from webcam to better capture the ir- light from your LEDs.
You add a daylight filter to block all visible light so that that the cam only capture the ir-light.)
It seems that the hd5000 had a very weak in-build ir-filter, so it's not necessary to remove it.
As daylight filter you can use floppy disk (bad filter because it also blocks part of ir-light) or multiple layers of coloured plastic sheets or reel ir filter (expensiv).

By the way: The Track-ir clip pro cost about 35$ even less than this one on ebay.
