I started building my first freetrack set up about 2 weeks ago and as soon as I was done my computer died. I have a new computer however it is running windows 8. When I try to run freetrack, it opens but will crash when I try to do things. Am I screwed because I have windows 8? Thanks for any help.

I don't have Win 8, but maybe just a question of admin rights like in Vista and Win 7.

No, in windows 8 it prompts you saying "Must be run as administrator.".  You run as administrator and can use the program fine, up until the point where you press start.  Then it crashes.
