Hello Guys,

After more than a year I found myself playing a game that supports this software! Planetside 2.

Now I went to the shop and bought some of the bicycle lights which can be easily connected to the headset.

I will use a Nintendo Wii remote connected to the PC.

My question is:

Can someone tell me what LED's will work with this? Given that I only know that the batteries provide 6 V (2x 3V). What LED are in this i don't know and also not what resistor is on it.

Using the LED calculator for these LED's OSRAM SFH486P tells me to use a 30 Ohm (6V, 3V, 100mA)

Where should I measure if there indeed is 30 Ohms resistance?

Thanks in advance and keep up the good work to the free track team!

Measure the voltage on the LED to see what kind of LED you can use.
For the SFH485P you need 1.5V forward voltage.
Otherwise look for some other ir-LEDs. (It will probably be 1.2V).

But I'm afraid that there is some kind of other circuits under this white point of glue:

necessary to make on/off working by a button.

Can you confirm if it is a switch or a button?

Thank you for your reply.

I measured on both pins of the LED and it reads 3V.

The light has 3 modes, on/blink/off. It is not with a switch but a press button. It goes right ontop of the "double comb" area to the north west of the white epoxy.

I will just give it a try and if it doesn't work I will think of a different way.

Which software you make use of to play the game? Can you provide me one copy?
