Hey everybody, my first post here.
For starters, I'm very excited about the free-track system!
In most of the youtube clips I can't tell the TrackIR from FreeTrack.
Poor me, I have 3 weeks of exams to go, but after those I'm building my FreeTrack.
I do have some questions to point me in the right direction.
Is one of the two models better or more accurate? Should I prefer the cap-model or the clip-on for the headphones? Positive/negative experiences with either of the models? Is there a good reason to prefer a stabilized adaptor instead of batteries? I just have the feeling that I need to change the batteries a lot and that the LED's quickly lose their output over time, like go from 100% to 70% in the first half hour.
So what is the stamina I get out of batteries, is it good enough, does 9V or a few times 1.5 make a difference?
Luckily I can order from Conrad.nl so I can get my hands on the ideal LED.
Sorry for the overload in questions, I want to start a project well informed.
