Class : Apprenti Posts : 10 Registered on : 08/08/2009 Off line	I am new to the freetrack building. I have searched around here and did a bit of googling. Now I want to build my own cap with 3 IR leds. I dont know anything about electricity and I dont understand much when people start to talk with ohm and Voltage. So I removed the IR filter from my webcam (Logitech Quickcam Chat) this evening. I have a cap. And this is what I have found so far. Or where do I buy one? Someone knows where I can get the wires to wire it all up? Anything else I did wrong/missed? CAN YOU SEE/REAd THE LINKS? Did I do something wrong? Class : Apprenti Posts : 4 Registered on : 27/07/2010 Off line	Your best bet is to buy a battery holder that already has an on/off switch. If you don't know what you're doing they're a pain to make yourself.

Class : Apprenti Posts : 3 Registered on : 30/06/2010 Off line	its easy making a on off switch or button all your do is attach the positive end of the battery with a wire to one end of the switch and the other end come out with a wire to a resistor then to all your LEDs. What I did was take apart a old dead transformer and used the casing and put my pcb board and resistor with a 9volt battery and the on/off switch coming off the top. if you need help or pictures just pm me.

Class : Apprenti Posts : 34 Registered on : 07/08/2010 Off line	Hi! You really have to buy resistors that got minimum 0.5W or 1Watts see http://www.free-track.net/english/hardware/calcled/ to calculate current, voltage, power etc.
