I seem to be having difficulty getting my webcam setup correctly. I removed the lens inside the camera as i instructed in the youtube video and cut out a piece from a developed camera reel and placed on the outside but when I open up the free track software I get this issue, as illustrated in the attacthed pic.
Could anyone tell me how I could rectify this issue or has the cam been damaged. Thanks

I'll try although I'll just do wild guessing.

Picture is not normal. You noticed that. The cause might be that piece of foil you put in front of lenses/camera. Try to remove it and see if picture's quality will improve.

Also, check if you flip over focus ring or other parts like lens holder etc.

Someone else have that issue with 1/3rd of picture input looked like yours. I searched forum but couldn't find it. Try to change protocol camera is using (stream->color space/compression). I can't recall if this was a shot by give it a try.

That's all I could remember. If you have time, try to read through forum you might find solution.

Yea I think it is lens flip over somehow. I do the same thing with my Logitech pro 5000.

Picture was magnified and blurred much more than before.

Be patient and stay calm to avoid to try fix it with hammer like I was so today I’m waiting my new PS3 Eye cam and having expensive abstract sculpture with Logitech name on it.  :dev:

I have the same problem. Does anyone know how to solve this? I think the hitch is not in the camera.

After all it was an easy solution. It needed to click on the Stream button before the Start of the camera and than to switch on I420 instead of RGB 24. A strange thing is that now both those mods are working, I don't know why.
I hope it will help to someone.
