Hello, I'm wondering if anyone here has tried using a Gigaware webcam (the $20 one at radioshack). I decided to try it out since it was the cheapest one I could find and for the most part it works great. I made a model with a hat and three red LED's and it detects it even in moderate light.
The only problem I really have is the stupid face tracking feature where the software thinks it's being clever and zooms in on what it thinks is a face. The controls are not available through Freetrack and I have to use the webcam controls.
I can disable the face tracking feature with a check box but when I close the camera settings it randomly re-enables it and starts zooming. This is extremely irritating when playing FSX because I have to pause it, go into the camera settings and re-disable it.
My question is if anyone has used this webcam or has face tracking issues with another camera and if there is anything to be done about it?
