I've got my 3-point clip all set up and working. I've got my Wiimote and know how to connect it. The whole build worked great with BlueSoleil, but the price sucks, and the nag message sucks just as much. I've been searching for the last 2 days for a bluetooth stack that:

a) Doesn't cost $60 (BlueSoleil the nag message/disconnect is unbearable)
b) Doesn't crash my explorer.exe when I open it (Widcomm)
c) Allows me to press the start button in FreeTrack (AKA: Wiimote camera works)

I have an IOGear GBU421. (BTW, how the hell does this thing cost $20? Are there gold ingots inside it?)

This whole situation really blows. Finally I give up and came to bother you guys.

Any suggestions?

(Using Windows 7 x64)

Not sure if it would work for you but try broadcam...

Broadcom drivers seem to just be the same as the Microsoft ones. Neither seems to let me use the Wiimote camera although they allow me to connect to the Wiimote..

From changelogs:
[...]
Wii: fixed some wii bugs, device numbering, stopping when not existing, wait for speaker to turn on, turn off speaker to conserve power. Tested with WidComm, BlueSoleil and Toshiba stacks.

So maybe Toshiba...

I'm using wii mote with my broadcam stack with no problem.  You just have to use the enable button to bypass some of the screens to get it connected with the bluetooth.

It actually works with the default Windows Vista/7 stack (using x64 myself). I just never realized that the Wiimote camera has to be started by pressing the "A" button rather than through FreeTrack.

Works good now :D

How did you get it working!?  I'm on Win7 x64, I've tried two differen't BT usb's with widcomm and windows stacks, both paired successfully, however although I've used it in other apps I can't use the Wiimote in Freetrack.  I pressed the A button but it still doesn't start, "start" button is greyed out and if I right click it in the toolbar and press "start", it stilll does not work!

Any help would be appreciated!   ;)

Off line Www

I recommend the Toshiba bluetooth stack, google it to get a free trail or use the torrents. I had problems getting my wiimote to connect properly with windows 7 (x64) bluetooth stack, and with that awful bluesolil. Just got it sorted today and its working well.

Oh, and dont worry, you dont need a toshiba machine for it to work :)
