Alright, so I have a HP DV2000t, about 2-3 years old.  The webcam works great with everything else (including inside the "My Computer" window) at a smooth 30fps in full color.  However, I open free-track, and I get a grayscale image that starts at 30fps, then drops quickly to 7 and won't budge from there.

What on earth is going on?

HP DV2000t
Windows XP SP3
2 GB RAM
2.00 GHz Intel Dual Core
Built-in 1.3MP Webcam

Thanks for your help guys.

Can you disable auto-exposure?

Not sure where I'd go about that, it's running on the built-in Microsoft USB Video drivers and I don't see settings for anything anywhere that relates to the webcam.

Is there a set of drivers I could download somewhere that would work for this instance?
