I did a quick search here, but didn't turn up anything to assist on this one.

I realize that FreeTrack is designed to sit on top of a monitor with the user about 18-24 inches away, but is there a way to increase that distance and retain functionality? And if so what would be the determining factor.

My assumption is that increasing the resolution of the webcam would have the wanted effect, but would like to confirm before spending the money to buy a high resolution webcam.  But would the LED brightness be a factor as well?

In my test in the past, it would function at a distance of about 7 feet, but would be very jittery, making it difficult to use. My hope is to be able to set the webcam on top of my TV, and have it work while I am on my couch. (Home Theater / Gaming rig)

Thanks!

I have the same issue as I'm using this with a projected image and would like to have the camera a bit farther away.
