I have never used IR LEDS before only normal LED's.

How do I know if the IR LED is working, I have a slight orange glow at the end of the IR LED is this correct for this type of device.

Or are they supposed to light up like normal LEDS?

I have checked all my connections and have used the VOLtage current calculator so I am confdent everythng is OK here

A small orange glow is correct.
