RSS > 3point cap resistor HOT

Class : Apprenti Posts : 1 Registered on : 23/04/2009 Off line	everything is working great, but the resistor it so HOT, I can smell it burning the elec.tape. So hot I can not touch it at all..... Anyone have any ideas....?

The only time I had extreme heating like that was when part of my setup was accidentally short-circuited, resulting in the wires themselves heating up and probably killing my battery. Anyway, it could be (just a guess) that maybe you have the wrong resistor type, or they're set up differently that what would otherwise be ideal. Are you using three resistors or just one?
