Hello.
Please do you have anybody any experiences with removal of the IR filter from Logitech Quickcam Communicate STX?
Thx!

You don't need to (I'm not even sure it has one).  I use the same web camera with no problems, just ensure there is no sunlight shining on the wall behind you or directly into the lens of the camera.

When you set up your web camera ensure all the sliders are to the left and any Auto functions are unchecked.

IN the Stream Format settings set frame rate to 30;
Color Space/Compression to I420; and
Output Size to what ever you need I use 320 x 240 any larger and there is to much draw on the CPU.

I'm using regular LEDs ground down with out any problems.
