Here is my model made from halfords sunglasses clip , dual battery holder from maplins , carbon rod from model shop, piece of pcb board from maplins , also 3 osram ir leds from rs components , on/off switch from maplins and valued resistors calculated via program from freetrack ( think 15 ohms but not sure ) wired in parallel , dimensions are 30,40,70,80 works well on microsoft vx 3000 webcam.
