Hi,
I have a couple of questions about resistors.
1. The LED Wizard reports the dissipated power as 0.43w for my setup. Is this the same thing as the wattage on the resistor? I see a lot of 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 watt resistors, should I be using the 1/2 watt ones?
2. Where's a good place to buy resistors online? I went to my local big electronics store (YouDoIt Electronics) and they told me they don't carry E24 resistors, only E3 and E12's. They were also really rude and arrogant, and left me with more questions than answers, which is typical of my experience there. Anyway, is there anywhere online i can buy these? I've tried googling but haven't found anything useful.
3. The LED wizard says I need a 45 Ohm 5% E24 resistor, is this 47 ohm 1/2W 5% Carbon Film Resistor" OK? I found it on the radioshack site here
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062313 but it doesn't say if it's E24.
4. Finally, is it possible to use a potentiometer (with the appropriate resistance range) instead of a resistor?
Sorry for all the questions but I'm a complete novice at all this

Hmmm, just found this resisitor online
