Hi,

I attempted to set up freetrack for the first time today but I can't get it to work properly.

I am using a TrackClip Pro and a Microsoft VX-1000 webcam but no matter what I do I can't get a stable 3 LEDS detected.  I get 3 but then it will increase to 4 or decrease to 2.  Side to side movement is better than up or down.  If I move my head even a tiny bit up or down I lose signal.  I have removed the webcams IR filter and tired putting a piece of old floppy tape in front of the lens and played around with the threshold and exposure settings but no luck.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

many thanks

Jon

Managed to get it to work a bit better.  Main problem is when I move up or down I lose one of the LEDs.  Side to side is generally ok but the same LED keeps disappearing when I move up or down

Bought today same web cam.

I suppose u need to point LED's at all time in your webcam or you will loose track.

And let me ask you, did u had to remove IR filter?

Yeah I removed the IR filter.

I've got it working a bit better now - I found that putting the webcam up high rather than on the desk improved things.
