Hi I am new around here, and just converted my first webcam a VX-1000.
I realy would like to use some kind of reflective on my cap instead of LED's.
Realy wanna be wireless :O)
So I built my self an IR array using 6 IR leds around the camera.
But I just discovered that my reflextape is as reflective as my hand in the "near IR" range..... any tips on reflective material that works??

The reflective tape used by cyclists and emergency workers is best.

SOTO is selling some balls for TrackIR user on www.checksix-forums.com. AFAIK it works better that NP reflector tape.

As long as you don't mind wearing balls on your head. : g e n e :

The sphere should reflect better, but I found the reflective tape (which is designed for reflecting at acute angles) to work for 40 degrees left/right of boresight, which is all you need.

I hac nice results with 4 discs of 3M Scotchlite tape (different grades - all seemed fine) and 8 IR-LEDs with my Wiimote. I did not use FreeTrack, but a Wiimote sample exe.
The problem is, this tape comes in bulk rolls (100-250 Euros), that's why I started openKMQ. (See other posts)
