Hi,

i have Freetrack 2.1.0.0 and it's works fine.
Now i update the program to Freetrack 2.2. I download it, and install first the least DirectX 9.0c version. After that i install Freetrack 2.2 in a new folder.

If i start the Freetrack version 2.2, i get an errormessage from Windows like this:

[error-messages begin]
FreeTrack.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
...
[error-messages end]

And the error signature starts with:

[error signature begin]
AppName: freetrack.exe     AppVer: 2.2.0.267     ModName: freetrack.exe
ModVer: 2.2.0.267     Offset: 0001a259
[error signature end]

My system is an AMD 64X2, 4200+, 2.21 GHz, 2GB RAM
with Win XP SP3

What ist my mistake, or what can i do to fix the problem?

karlchen

I get the same thing in Vista 64, Freetrack 2.2 crashes when I try to open it. As in your case, Freetrack 2.1 worked fine for me on the same system.

So far I haven't found a way to fix this and nobody else seems to have the problem. I've tried a bunch of webcam drivers, the direct3D updates, reinstalling, registry stuff, every Windows compatibility mode, checked for malware/viruses, etc. Still the same thing. I don't believe its driver related because the same thing happens if I disconnect the webcam.

I've contacted the devs a couple of times but nobody has replied yet.

I just tried installing the 2.2.0.278 update and I get the exact same thing again. Appcrash on launch. Hurrah.

If you find a fix be sure to let us know!

Cheers,
Toby
