is the Wiimote actually working?  Has anyone done it in v2.2?  I grabbed a Wiimote this morning, connected it to the PC and _nothing_ shows up in FreeTrack.

I've got a 3-point system that I know works (because it works with GlovePie) and FreeTrack isn't seeing the LEDs.  What do I need to do to convince FreeTrack that it's there?

I had problems connecting mine. You have to have the right BT dongle. I ended having to re-install vista as I couldn't install latest bluesoleil. I was able to after re-doing vista and it works perfect now.

I have a spare wii mote.. Is it worth the effort over using the webcam considering you have the added fat of the bluetooth program running ?

Is it smoother ?

Any issues ?

jbalat @ 24/10/2008 - 00h50 a dit:

the total cpu a wii remote plus bluetooth uses is practically zero, which is less than what a trackir uses, ram isn't an issue either, so there is no 'fat'

it is better in every way,  you have 100fps of buffer for smoothing before any lag becomes a problem
