How much watts should resistor have?

Ok...I'm going to buy:

12v battery
1/4w 270 Ω resistor
4x  Ø5mm red diode 1500mcd 30°

Then wire:
12v battery minus to resistor then to led's.
12v battery plus to led's.

Is this ok?

Hello XwawawaX

First thing : why 4 leds ???

The latest Freetrack settings use 3 leds or 1 led , not 4.

Can you tell me the led characteristics, please ?
(I mean , forward voltage and forward nominal current).
