Hey Marcus
My cap arrived in Brisbane, Australia today. That was super speed.
You have done a fine job man, it looks great!
Now I have to strip the filter out of the web cam and get seriously immersed in some flying.
Thanks again
Bruce.

I'm glad you like it. That was 11 days?!
That's faster than europe, by a day. Less addresses to sort through by area I guess. ;)

Now its time to get my setup working properly. Can't wait for 2.2 release so i can get myself a wiimote and use that with the hat.

Thanks for the compliment! I can't wait either. I expect it will make a huge difference in responsiveness when we can use the wiimote.

No problem! I suggest you don't buy a logitech, mine uses a lot of cpu. But I have a 1.6 Ghz processor, so maybe it woun't take up as much on your system.

Hi Marcus,
My hat came in the post today and I can't tell you how impressed I am with it! I've been using one-point tracking up until now. What a difference your hat makes!
Thanks for the great product/value/customer support/quick turnaround. I couldn't be happier. My wife was impressed by your sewing skills.

Thanks Charlie,

Tell your wife I said thanks as well, but I don't actually sew. ;)
Unless of course you count treading the wire as sewing.

Hey Marcus,
What type of battery do you recommend with your hat?  Are standard duracell/energizer AA ok?

A short note to say thanks to Marcus for getting my cap to me so quickly and to express how pleased I am with it. Why would anyone bother with coat hangers and fiddly LEDs when this chap will make a quality product for you that does exactly what is required?

I highly recommend him to those wanting to buy the headwear for Freetrack!

Yep, I'm spreading the word whenever I get a chance. This cap has completely changed the way I play. Now all I need to do is make me one of these, and I'm all good: ;)

Yep, they'll work fine. I use cheap store brand akaline batteries. You can't use most rechargeables though, since they only have 1.2 volts. But there are some 1.5 volt rechargeables out there, just harder to find.

My cap arrived today here in germany.

Nice work. It works fine with 1.2 Volt rechargable Batteries with 600mAh.

But now i have a little problem with Freetrack, because I have a window in my back and now I'm trying to stop the natural IR from disturbing Freetrack

What kind of IR filter are you using? If a foppy disk doesn't stop it, then see if you can mess with the threshold bar in freetrack to cancel it out. If all else fails, a curtain on the window should do the trick.

I'm using a floppy, but one layer isn't enough, two layers are too strong.

When I hang a curtain in front of the window the IR still comes through so I still have disturbing IR in Freetrack
