Ace!  I was thinking about making one of these but as the pound is so strong it is cheaper and easier to buy this!

Do we know how long it usually takes to ship to europe?  I can't wait to get my hands on this!

Oh and good thinking on the idea by the OP!  I bet he has made a few quid out of this :D

I'm not quite sure how long it takes. I'm hoping no more than three weeks, but I haven't got any conformation. I'm glad you are excited about this, but I have to ask you one thing. What the heck is a quid?! lol I'm guessing thats money. You must be one of my UK orders lol.

Crazy tori's and their slang... lol. I'm kidding, I can't criticize the only other guys that know how to eat a big breakfast. ;)

I'm now struggling to get the orders out on time. I haven't been late on an order yet, but that time is getting close. hopefully I'll catch up over the week end.

Marcus

haha!  Yes, you are right, a quid is a pound (£)

I expect that you may be late in shiping orders after a while as these look like a nice bit of work.  Do you have unstitch the hat at all to get the wireing in?

Hey Marcus,

iam today *happy* *happy* *happy*  because i have seen your thread at midday and ordered one of your caps 30 minutes later  ^^

I had tested weeks ago freetrack with a bicycle rear light (pasted over two of three leds with duct tape  :dev: ) and was fascinated. But i could never make an three leds cap assembly or something easier. Searched the forums if someone was offering something like you but could not find anything. Now, weeks later, you are offering such an perfect product, yes "product"! :D

Thank you very much for offering it and giving it out for a fair price! Respect!
My order is from Germany (City: Braunschweig). I hope you will get the mass of orders managed. I think it will get more orders hehehe  :stuart: The quality of your work shown at the pictures looks excellent.

Looking forward to put it on my head and use it at Armed Assault, IL-2 and anything else that does support freetrack/trackir.  :)

Greetings
Mariusz aka ginger

Yes I do have to do some stitch work. I don't comprimise the integrity of the cap though.

Ive done some testing now and the cap looks great.
Still i have some problems to get the dots show up in FT.
I have a logitech quickcam wich is untouched. Ir-filter is not removed.
I sit in a fairly dark room and no other lightsources are in my back.
The red dots are wery tiny that show up in FT.
If i take a tv-remote and tries it shows up with much stronger signal.

Do you think i should remove the ir-filter in my camera or what?
I have fresh new batteries and not rechargeable after a tip from marcusw ;)

Oh, and i get 28-ish  fps in FT.

Edit: i removed the ir-filter (a bit tricky) and oh'boy what a difference  :glasses:
Now i just need to finetune everything. And what a difference in games too

I've been testing the cap now for a few days, and my impression can be summed up by one word:

AWESOME!!

Everything about it is great.. the build quality is superb, the battery solution clever and the way the LEDs are integrated into the cap is very neat. Also the LEDs are very bright. I use a piece of an old floppy disk in front of my camera to filter out any visible light, and when I do that I can play in a fully illuminated room and still get perfect tracking!

This cap has revolutionized my experience with flight sims. For this little money you can get an utility that IMO improves the game nearly as much as a joystick does. I see absolutely no "excuse" not to buy one! You won't regret it. :)

Excellent job.
