Thanks virtualroutes, it's working for me! I only got to tinker around with it for about an hour today with both FSX & FS2004, and it seems to work fine for me at the moment without putting too much time into it yet.
Thanks Again!!! sf4JC |

Works for me, but only for a moment, then the screen is freeze. I have to restart FT or reload profile to make it working again, after 5 sec this situation repeats. I've changed TIRViews.dll to previous in FreeTrack folder, tried different options with marking in output tab (TIRVievs chain is highlighted all time), still the same.
I've not any idea, but the knowledge that iit's working for others is fortify for me. Thanks for your effort virtualroutes |

Hey folks same issue happens here!
I solved doing this: 1. Disable X, Y, Z (put none) 2. Disable TrackIR interface and select simconect 3. Now you FSX should have 3 DOF full working roll, pitch yaw. 4. Take off and fly some minutes, dont know exactly how much should work.. 5. Then try to change from simconect to TrackIR interface, if you have smooth pitch, yaw, roll for 20 seconds, you ready to enable again X, Y, Z. 6. Centralize your head and if necessary go "back" to cockipt with CTRL+SPACE. Its necessary doing this everytime you restart your simulator...but it worth! Does anyone knows how to disable tracking in spot view and in 2D cockpit??? Regards, Alexandre |

I still can't get it to work. I tried the wonderful fix posted by virtualroutes, but I get absolutely nothing in FSX (I'm in the demo, ordered the full version and should be here soon).
*idiot Edit: Turns out the demo doesn't support TrackIR, and as such, probably not Freetrack. Anyhoo, now that I've managed to introduce myself in such a stupid manner... HI GUYS!

Hmmm.. just installed FT2.2 and it refuses to have anything to do with me, citing a missing .dll.
As I had gone straight from my much beloved FT2.1, I figured maybe I missed an upgrade along the way - installed FT2.1.1, tried it and found, while it doesn't demand the same .dll it just refuses to settle down. All over the place. Installed FT2.2 over top and now I'm back at the missing .dll again. All too complicated for me-I'm staying with the FT2.1 that still works, just sits in a folder on the desktop, no install, just a good solid app. What did you blokes do to me favorite program? You really don't want me to do all those work arounds do you? Nah, not a show. (Hey, can anyone tell me what .dll I'm missing, and where to find it please?)

Saied Ah, but I am indeed grateful, incredibly so as a matter of fact; I am always stunned at the amount of time and effort people put in to programs. I am surprised that you would think otherwise, but I cannot be bothered being offended at the moment. I adopt a matter of fact tone in my posts because I don't wish to be taken as an impatient fool as others appear. I am very much in love with the older version and intend to remain so. I suspect you misread me perhaps? Oh, yes I do have administrator privileges. benmeijer Thank you sir for pointing the way to the missing .dll. It happens so quickly that I forgot to write the exact name down. |

So, got the game today in the mail.
Installed it, following directions in the thread, had it working right off the bat! WOOT! then it stopped tracking after about 5-10 minutes. (Using TrackIR method) Thanks for all the work guys! Any ETA on the hotfix? |
