Got my wiimote working with this now. I haven't had a chance to set it all up properly yet as I had to reinstall vista to get the wiimote working. Will sort it later today maybe. However I did have a quick go with it and it runs at about 98-104fps tons of jitter though and theres no options to edit the wiimote. The hat seems to work perfectly though.

Yeah, i finally got my wiimote to work with freetrack and a stand so it can sit above my monitor.  All i need now is the cap.   :p

I took apart my PS2 Eyetoy and the bottom there is a stand which i can turn and swivel. I placed the wii remote ontop and it fits perfectly.  :D

Has anyone seen Marcus?

It's getting frustrating not hearing anything about delivery dates, status, etc. Sorry, no harm intended. It's just my patience getting - well - impatient  :dev:

Hasn't happened in a long time. Feel like a 5 year old before christmas - lol.

i'm putting all the hats together. I know its frustrating, but i'm doing the best I can.

Also as far as the stand goes, I am making wiistands that are attached to a battery cover so you don't have to modify your own wii. Anyone interested?

All you have to do is remove your battery cover and snapt the wii stand in. ;)

On your Wii idea, what about adding a set of battery connectors to your cover/mount idea which then make contact with the + & - connectors of the Wii when you clip the cover in. A jack socket in the base of the mount could then connect to a locally sourced 3v dc supply.

how backlogged are the caps at this point?  I made my own three-point cap this past weekend, but am thinking about buying one of these since they're much "cleaner"?

also, what kind of current limiting resistor are you using?  when I built mine, even a small (3.3 ohm) resistor was too much and attenuated the current to the IR LED's too much for the wiimote to pick up, so I just did a direct connect to the IR LED's and that works much better.

Plus, since my AA battery supplies 1.5V and my LED's have a forward drop of ~1.4V, there's not really a need for the limiting resistor anyway.  Just asking to compare how your caps are rigged versus what I did in my configuration.
