Hi all! New here and just waiting for my LEDs to arrive so I can start tracking!

So, has anyone here tried a Logitech Webcam Pro 9000? Its my current webcam and I sure can't afford a new one of this one doesn't work!

Thanks in advance to anyone that can shine some light on this!

OK...well even though I haven't tried it with FreeTrack yet (don't have my IR setup yet) and don't have the official drivers installed (to test resolution/frame rates) the camera does NOT filter IR light. I tested this using my stereo remote control and I saw the IR light nice and bright, so no filter to remove or anything.

I'll update with resolution and frame rate specs when I get the drivers installed and can play around some.

QUICK QUESTION! What is the best/optimal resolution? I know the cam can do 320x240 (unknown fps) and can do 720p at 30fps...so I'm guessing it can do at least 640x480 at 60fps...maybe handle 320x240 at 120fps? Either case that's all speculation at this point.

I'll keep this updated!!!

You can display the FPS in the preview window (right click).  It depends on the
images frequency you select in the capture properties.
The pro 9000 can make 30fps max.

30fps at 720p max or 30fps at ALL resolutions? Because that just doesn't seem right :-s

30fps max. in all resolutions, like most of the actual webcams. Even if this camera got a very good optic and HD video capture. You can check this by making a short video and turn it in VLC or Quicktime player.
