Hi to all. I've just bought some IR LED. Hereunder you can find the characteristic:

VF (IF=20mA)
typ.     1.2V
max.     1.5V
IR (VR=5V)     10µA
CO (V=0 f=1 MHz)     90pF
lp (IF=20 mA)     940nm
Dl (IF=20 mA)     50nm
Pd     100mW
IF     50mA
IP     1.2A
VR     5V
Emitting material     GaAs


For the Wizard Calculator, what kind of mA I have to put into "Forward Current (mA)"? I know that the V is 1.2V, but the mA?

Hi,

You should enter forward current 20 mA, if you use 1.2V. 50 mA is probably max. value for 1,5 V.
