Logitech Quickcam Express
AMD 4600+
2 GB Ram

Freetrack works fine as long as the camera is the only USB device plugged in.  As soon as I plug in my G25 the frame rates drop to nothing.

It worked fine right after installing the camera and FT.  Something else has happened since then.

I noticed an error one time when installing the camera that said something about having the camera installed on the same device as other USB components.  I don't remember the exact error message.

Is there anything I can change in my system configuration to get this thing running right?

Thanks,
Pat Dotson

Are you using a USB Hub?

(Unlikely) But seems like you're trying to shove too much stuff through a USB port, so this could happen if you use a Hub, or if the 2 ports the stuff's plugged into are on an internal hub.

Try plugging one of them into a different port, from USB ports if available/possible.

Thanks for the reply.  I've tried swapping ports a few times but that doesn't fix it so far.

Any other suggestions?

BTW, how do you check whether your USB ports are operating as 1.1 or 2.0?

Thanks,

I'm not sure if this exactly works, but a google search led to this site,
http://www.usbman.com/Guides/checking_for_usb_2.htm

Basically, go into the device manager, open the USB controllers folder, and see if they say "Enhanced"

I dunno, the only enhanced one I have is a USB - PCI controler, but I know for sure that my ports are 2.0 so yeah, try that.

One suggestion. If you know the model of your Motherboard, you could search the manufacturer website and see your motherboard's specifications.
USB version should be there.
