Unable to get any sort of fps/image from my webcam, either through the webcam software or freetrack.
Have got the vista enabler but has made no difference.
When you should be getting a streamed image in freetrack and the MS software it seems to hang and after a while i'll get the top 1/3 of an image but as a still frame while the other 2/3 are red and black lines accross the window.
The whole program seems to be really lagging, get similar in freetrack but after a while freetrack will crash.

Webcam is brand new and not been opened/fiddled with yet, wanted to make sure it worked before i opened it.
In taskmanaager i was only using 30% of my ram with processor at minimal aswell so it's not my system requirments.

Help........please  :(

The first time i tried it, it appeared the same as pic then crashed.

Tried re-installing the web cam with latest program from MS and uninstalled again and just treid pluging it in without installing drivers.

Most of the time any program i try to use the web cam with crashes.

Am using vista 64, the webcam says it supposrts it but not sure if your test program does?

Have i got a faulty webcam or did they just lie about compatability on the box?
I have just bought it and not taken it apart yet so i can return it if it turns out to be faulty.

Is anyone out there using vista 64 with freetrack, if so what web cams are you using?

It turns out the webcam won't run with 4 gig of ram in, i pulled a couple of sticks out and all is working.
There was a hotfix for a 4 gig issue with PES 2008, is there somthing similar for this?

Ok, yet another prob

Managed to use enable button to disable auto exposure but the FPS is still at 20, the tracking too is poor(is this due to 20fps?) Have adjusted the exposure to about 5 different places down to 0 but still no change. Anyone help?

i am using the vx1000, and vista 32...  i have the latest MS drivers for the cam.

Enable thingy doesn't work...  vista enable works, but does more harm then good.

basically I leave the AE checked....  when i load up FT it gets 24 fps...  to get 30 all i do is move the slider all the way right in ae via FT menu...  hit apply, then move it all the way down to 0 and hit apply again.  this gets me 30 fps with under 10 jitter.

so in conclusion, enable button didn't work for me.  straight up driver with AE checked works the best for me.  sincenot having the AE checked the dang slider would keep reseting to 24 on exposure... with AE checked I can get the slider to stay at 0 exposure at all times.

I can go into more detail if you need me to.
