Can anyone tell me where FT saves your profiles?

I was surprised to find after completely removing Freetrack from my computer and then reinstalling that it recalled my BMS profile.
I cannot find where this is saved. the profile folder has only default .ftp in it.

the default map for profiles with win7 64bit is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\FreeTrack\Profiles

If it is not there, it is gone. You didn't make a back-up of that profile?
Maybe you can restore your pc to the timeof your old freetrack, make a backup of your profile map. Uninstall freetrack and install it again.Put the back up of your profile map back.
Maybe you are lucky and you get it back.   :snif:

Thanks for reply Stormrider but you misunderstood my question,
I ask where profiles are stored because I cannot understand how my profile was saved after I deleted the program from my computer and then reinstalled it.
I found that all my settings were still correct and profile named BMS was still present
yet the folder you describe had only default.ftp in it.
I cannot make anything else appear in this folder when I save a profile.
Where are they being put???

ps I now run Win 8.1

Hi Stormrider,

I found the problem, the files were being saved under :-

C:\users\me\appdata\local\VIRTUAL STORE\program files(86)\free track\profiles

To stop this I had to change permissions to allow write in the free track.exe

Damned Windows 8

thanks for your help
