Hello,

Had anyone tried running FreeTrack on a MacBook Pro runnning Windows XP.  I thought I would give it a shot, but it keeps crashing on me.

FreeTrack finds the iSight camera and shows me my face initially but quickly drops to 0 frames per second and crashes (FreeTrack closes).

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Ally

Sounds like the usual RGB crash, use I420 compression or increase threshold and reduce webcam exposure before starting the video stream.

Did you ever get your Macbook working ?  I have the same crash and can not figure out a way to change compression.

Thanks

Indeed, I don't think there is any option over the type of compression -  YUY2 was the only kind available (whatever that is?)

I played with various things and the crashes do seem to have stopped - I turned the resolution down, and did something with filters - thought not sure what!

I gave up with the iSight and am currently using a MSI star cam 370i.  After playing with the exposure and brightness this is giving much better results.  I'm using a red LED in relatively low light at the moment.

Hope this helps.

So is there no way of getting a macbook pros webcam to work? It just crashes on me when I start it in the settings.

Hope you can help.

It will be supported when I can find the time, it has to be supported eventually because YUY2 is used by UVC drivers which are the future webcam standard.

Does the iSight support NV12?
