Microsoft LifeCam VX-700
 -AE cannot be disabled (even with vistaenabler)  would be excellent though with its 70°+ wide angle lens. |

Trust WB-1400T
 +AE can be disabled +FPS sticks to 12 in the beginning, but can be unlocked by holding a very bright light towards the camera, after that it will remain at 30 fps -IR filter is hard (if possible) to remove. IR filter strength is unknown to me at the moment -only works with 2.1.2, but not with 2.2 because webcam options dont show up (blank screen bug) -VERY NARROW FOV I do not recommend this camera due to its narrow fov |

 - Exposure cannot be set, therefore incompatible To me it seems that every webcam that is UVC (USB Video Class) capable is incompatible with FreeTrack! These are webcams that are advertised as "True plug-and-play", cameras where there are no drivers to be installed. To prove this is wrong: does anyone have a camera that supports UVC, but works with FreeTrack? |

 Limited info is available to me at the moment. The driver provides exposure presets, including a "High Frame" preset which could make it possible to use with FreeTrack. +Very cheap +Decent FOV +Weak IR filter |

C120 is a UVC camera, so my assumption that UVC cameras are incompatible with freetrack was false. Is your operating system XP or Vista/7? How do you feel about the FOV of the camera? I checked some logitech C-series cameras in a store, and they had a lens house that was very similar to the one in the Trust 1400, indicating low FOV. |

Not sure if it has been reported, but the Logitech C300 works fine at 30 FPS, 0 JPS. I have the output set at 640x480 and i'm using two pieces of blank negatives as filters in a very shiny, hot and sticky room (I'm from the Caribbean).
 Logitech C300 + Very easy to remove the IR filter, just open the camera like any other or most Logitech cameras, unscrew the lens and push the filter out. + Steady 30 FPS, 0 JPS (Be sure to update to latest Logitech drivers) + It Works - Price... I got mine for 35 dollars but i've seen other places selling it at $50 -Again value. While it works and i have no complains, i think there are cheaper options. With that said, the Logitech C300 is compatible with Freetrack and it works well. |

 Removed the IR filter and replaced with two layers of floppy disk film piece. Webcam settings: All slider set to minimum except USB Bandwith wich set to 8 (maximum) Disable Zoom Outdoor mode FreeTrack settings: Codec: I420 Resolution: 640x480 Result: Stable 30fps with 0-2JPS |

The Winbook WB-6120 works fine, but I can't get 30fps from it, only 10.
 It's cheap ($12 US @ Microcenter), small, and easy to remove the IR filter. 1. Spread the mount and remove the small screw. Remove mount. 2. Pry off the silver end cap 3. Remove the 2 screws inside the cap and disconnect the wiring plug. 4. Remove the rubber O-ring 5. Carefully crack the 2 halves of the camera body apart at the seam. 6. Unscrew the lens 7. The IR filter is held on by 4 corner clips. Pry it out with a small screwdriver. 8. Cut a piece of floppy disk the same size and insert it in the clips 9. Reassemble it |
