Hello FreeTrack Forum!

First of all a big THANK YOU to the Developers and the Community!!  :D

My Problem in FS2004:
I installed the FSUIPC.dll in the modules Directory and when I dont connect a Joystick to my PC, FreeTrack WORKS fine in FS2004.

But when I connect my Joystick, the Joystick works well in FS2004 but FreeTrack doesn't anymore  :o    (It's a USB Joystick with a Coolie-Hat. I already tried to delete the Coolie Hat in the Joystick-Bindings.)

What's your FSUIPC version?

Create a log file:

1. Modules -> FSUIPC -> Logging -> Log Details.
2. Check the 'IPC Writes' option.
3. Click 'New Log'.
4. Try to use headtracking.
5. Return to FSUIPC options and Stop logging.

Find FSUIPC.log in FS Modules directory and paste contents here.

Hi Kestrel!
Thanx for your answer! As mentioned above its V3.75
This is a log that run for 30 seconds. Should i try to make a longer one?
Without Joystick it works. When i connect my Thrustmaster Joystick or also the Logitech Gamepad it doesn't work anymore... *hmm*
Thank you in advance, isilive

A second one with reads and writes. Different Location in FS. Normally    Controls - Assignments - View (Pan) is assigned to Joystick - Coolie Hat. But also when i delete this assignment it doesnt help.

Output of FT this time only "fsuipc" and no "direct game interface". No change.

The log file should be full of WRITE operations, see here for more details:

Hi Kestrel!

Thanx for your help!
Starting FS2004 without Joystick Freetrack works ok and the log is full of writes.

When I start it with Joystick and also check "Output to Mouse" there are no writes as seen above. And also the Mousepointer is only moving a little bit every three seconds. It looks like FT gets no process-time from the cpu, but I dont really believe this. Also FT has priority "realtime" and FS has "normal". (Could it be a problem with interrupts?)

Does this ever happen when FS2004 is not running? Or with a different game that uses the joystick?

Try running the debug executable in the post I linked to. Start FreeTrack and FS9 as you would normally then click on the small button on the far right of the main FT button bar (has a "D" on it) and post what the output is.

Is it possible that the webcam and joystick are competing for usb bandwidth?

It only happens in FS2004. I found a Workaround. When I start the game with FT running and connect the Joy afterwards, everything works fine.

And: you are right due to USB-bandwith. When I connect the Cam to a different USB Port it works also =)

I didn't think that the sharing of the USB's on my external HDD makes the problem, but now it WORKS FINE!!!!

Thank you!!! =)
