hi guys

i have set up my webcam and things and its all working :) just about to start ordering parts to build the IR headset

i am using the SFH485p LED click here to view them

i am hoping that it will be possible to power the 3 LED's from 2x1.5v AA batteries. will this be possible?

also what resitor will i need for the circuit?

apologies for asking but i was no good at electrical circuit calculations back in high school and im still no good :P

cheers

Yes, that will work fine. I use a 27 Ohm resistor on a similar circuit, though I think that might have been a little bit too weak. On my modified VX-1000, the points are very bright indeed.

I checked out Farnell for the IR LED's but the minimum order was £20.  Anyone know a UK supplier who sells them without a minimum order or a £15 shipping fee?

Cheers
