Class : Apprenti Posts : 4 Registered on : 03/09/2013 Off line	Hi, I have managed to disassemble the "Bad" PS3 eye into 3 pieces without damaging any of them. I was wondering which piece contains the filter, and advice on removal of that piece. Pictures: Album http://imgur.com/a/QAOOQ#CRtj69V SpoilerSides viewable only after disassembly (inside of mount, mount side of zoom lense, and inside of outside cover/lense Sides viewable (sorta) from the outside, (outside of mount, facing side of zoom lense, and outside facing of exterior piece.) Any help identifing the piece in question would be very appreciated.

Class : Moderator Posts : 656 Registered on : 16/11/2007 Off line	Hi, as far as I now there a several type of lens for the PS3. One filter is made by vapor deposition on of the lens. So it's impossible to demount. Class : Apprenti Posts : 4 Registered on : 03/09/2013 Off line	Ok. looking at the lense for the zoom adjustment. It looks to have a fine purple coating on one side, so i would assume that is the IR filter coating. I will look into getting some abrasive compound.

Class : Apprenti Posts : 4 Registered on : 03/09/2013 Off line	Went ahead and found a 'good' ps3 eye used at store. Removed ir filter, added in 2 layer neg film visible light filter, works perfectly.
